Just an inch shy of Insane

Remember what I said about St. Patrick's day last year? Well it's happened again. And this time it's on a Friday, meaning no Corned Beef for the Irish Catholics. I'm glad I'm just Irish and not Catholic.

Ok, so now I've got this thing called Yahoo 360. It's one of those friend contacting things, only it's with Yahoo. I've started it up and I'm even publishing this blog to it. Anyway, have fun visiting it. Here's the link:

You know, it's got to suck for the Irish Catholics this week. St. Patrick's Day falling durring Lent; the only thing that would be worse was if it was on a Friday. At least they can still eat their Corned Beef. It's just that Lent being a time of avoidence of excess and St. Patrick's Day being (at least in America) a time of drinking and feasting, I guess you just have to decide which is more important.

I'm glad I'm just Irish.

In the beginning, the material plane was empty. Though this was the realm of matter, none existed. All that was there was a lifeless void.

It was during this time that the Etheric Plane was a living entity. Having neither mass, nor size, it existed as a realm of pure potential energy. All that is, and all that ever will be, existed here in potential.

It was not by chance that the Etheric Plane discovered the Material Plane. It had been searching for someplace where it's potential could be actualized. It breached the barrier that had separated the two planes and injected a small fragment of itself into the Material Plane.

It was that single spark that created the Universe as we know it. The Ether that entered our world spontainiusly seperated into matter and anti-matter. The anti-matter left the Material Plane for the Anti-Material Plane, leaving behind only Pure-Matter.

This Pure-Matter was stable for a breif period of time until it collapsed, spreading the four base elements through the expanse of the void.

Consider if you will the 3-dimensional universe in which we live. It is a world existing of matter and anti-matter. However, there must be a substance which holds such things together, one which unifies it and, at the same time, keeps it from collapsing. We will call this substance Ether.

Ether must be a type of energy, but what kind? If you consider the ramifications, then this Ether must be an all encompassing energy. Ether, therefore, is the some total of all of the energy within the universe.

If Ether is not made of matter, then it has no mass. If it has no mass, than it cannot be measured as matter would. It can only be measured in quantity and quality, unlike mass which is measured in mass and size. If Ether has no mass or size, then we can conclude that all Ether is connected in some way. This contradicts the thought that energy can be isolated by matter.

If all Ether is connected, than it would stand to reason that all energy is connected in a similar fashion. In a multi-dimensional universe, we could represent this as an alternate "plane" or reality. We would call this the Etheric Plane.

The Etheric Plane would be a realm consisting of no matter. In that respect, it would be consisting of only Ether and energy. In this plane, there would be neither mass nor size, therefore the distance between two points in the Etheric Plane would be both infinite and non-existnant.

The distance between points in the Etheric Plane would make it ideal for travel across distances. The dificulty in this is that matter, while conductive to Ether in our "Material Plane" would be a disturbance within the Etheric Plane. Therefore, special precautions must be made before traveling into the Etheric Plane.

One method of Etheric travel would be by way of the so-called Astral Projection. This method is simply the creation of an "Astral Self"; a copy of oneself that is essensialy made of Etheric energy. This Astral body is not restricted to the Material Plane and can enter the Astral Plane and quite possibly the Etheric Plane. This form is not made of matter and would therefore not cause harm to the Etheric Plane. Astral Projection is, however, a dificult task to achieve and cannot transport the body, even if mastered.

A second method of Theoretical travel is possible. This method involves preparing the Etheric Plane for mater transportation. Thought is a type of Etheric energy. The highly focused mind could quite conseavably bend the Etheric Plane to it's own perceptions. By doing so, one could cause the Ether to take size and shape. This would minimize the damages to the Ether and to the matter entering. In essence, one could create a pocket within the Etheric plane that would take the representation of a coridor or such that would have a pair of doors between two points. You could then travel from one door to the other without coming into contact with pure Ether.

Welcome to another exciting addition to "Just an inch shy of Insane"!

Well, a lot has changed in a year. First of all, my "old @$$ computer" as I so elequently put it, has been replaced by a much better Dell PC. I now have 2.something GHz of Processing power, 256MB of RAM, 60GB of Memory, and a DVD ROM Drive *Grunts Manly*.

Next, I'm no longer atending VU. That college and that city were seriously getting on my nerves. I've moved back to my hometown and I'm attending the local community college. After I get my A.S., I'm going to IUPUI for a B.S. and then seeking a possible Masters.

I have a new obsession. I have become... a comic book collector! I collect mainly Spider-Man titles (and I mean (nearly) all of them) as well as a few others. My goal is to become a member of Spiderfan.org, but I'll just have to see that as it comes. Seeing as how I'm not yet a member, I may put a few reviews up here, or maybe on another blog somewhere.

Ok, I know the last post says it was done at 1:25 pm but it was actualy posted at 11:59 pm. I can see that this would seem like a serious error, but it's not. I was born at that time and I wanted the world (or at least the people who read this) to know it.

Anyway, I'm tired and I'm going to bed. Or I will after I get one final present...
